Maidmans Marquee hire Salisbury Charity ball

Maidmans Marquee hire Salisbury Charity ball, Marquees make great venues for all types of charity events but particularly fund-raising balls.

The opulence that a marquee can create is in keeping with a formal event and guests suited, booted and dressed in their finery!

Our marquees were recently installed for a wonderful evening at Chafyn Grove School in Salisbury, Wiltshire and catered for over 260 guests. As well as the lined marquees, we installed a dance floor (this crowd loved their dancing) covered by a twinkling starlit ceiling, a stage for the band, a screened off catering area, thermostatically controlled heating and a large area for the all-important bar.

We loved the final result!

Pretty pagoda style marquees from Maidmans Marquee Hire – It’s all about the pointy tops this season…

We now have four pagodas which are hired out non-stop throughout Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire throughout the season. Whether it’s for weddings, garden parties, corporate events, VIP areas, chill out zones – you name it, our pagodas look pretty and stylish!

The 6m x 6m pagodas can be linked together or stand alone, with sides or without, with linings or without, with panoramic windows or solid walls…we can install solid flooring, carpet or matting and hang chandeliers, paper lanterns or strings of sparkly fairy lights. we can even add a black or ivory starlit ceiling for that extra twinkle.

Its always good to put a face to a name and learn a little more about who you are dealing with in our family business.

Introducing Andrew Bailey, Co-owner and Director

Andrew is David and Verity’s son-in-law and joined the company as a Director in 2013, leaving behind a successful career in the cut-throat world of corporate sales.

Having had his own wedding in a marquee several years ago, he knows first-hand how to create a perfect venue, and how stressful even the best planned event has the potential to be!

Passionate about giving good customer service, Andrew’s aim is always to take any strain away from our customers so they can feel totally happy and confident that we will deliver exactly what they want on the day.

Originally from Glasgow, Andrew has lived in Hampshire for over 25 years but is still a staunch Rangers supporter. With wife Jade, a 7 year old son and twin 4 year old girls, life is always busy! When he gets the chance, he loves a round of golf and still plays the occasional game of football.

Meet the Maidman’s Marquees Team

We thought you might like to know a little more about the people you are dealing with and put a face to a name…

First to introduce is David Brooker, Co-owner and Director

David and wife Verity bought Maidman’s Marquees in 2012. With a wealth of experience from a career in engineering management roles both within the automotive industry and testing arena, David got to the point in his life when he was looking to do something ‘totally different’ (some would call this a mid-life crisis!).

David led the company’s move to its current base in Verwood in 2013 and continues to streamline our operational procedures. His ultimate goal is to make our installations quicker, safer and always looking fantastic. If there’s a tricky job to be done or a particularly challenging site, David will always try and find an innovative way to create the perfect marquee venue.

A marquee man by day and rock star by evening, David is lead guitarist and vocalist for party band with a difference, The Rookies. He is also a keen skier, having only taken up skiing 4 years ago, and remarkably still has the use of all four limbs! David and Verity have five children with three teenage sons still living at home, as well as the family dog, a cockapoo called Frodo.

We are delighted and excited to announce that we will be exhibiting with one of our pretty pagoda style marquees in the Solent Hall at the BIC Wedding Show Bournemouth from 6th – 8th February.

Our pagodas have been a part of many a wedding and they always look gorgeous. We will have this one fully fitted out with linings, lights, flooring, carpet and furniture, so you can get a feel for what we offer and what sort of setting you can create for your marquee wedding.

It will be a great show and we’d love to see as many of you there as possible. Do let us know if you are coming!
